Our History

Glendale Adventist Academy (GAA) is a TK-12 Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) school. GAA is part of the world-wide Seventh-day Adventist educational system that includes elementary schools, academies, colleges, and universities around the globe. The school is located on forty acres in Glendale, nine miles north of downtown Los Angeles. GAA is a multicultural campus reflecting the rich diversity of the Southern California region.

 

Established in 1907 as Glendale Church School just one year after the incorporation of the City of Glendale, GAA continues to provide high quality education in a Christ-centered environment that encourages spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social growth. The school has a distinguished history as a center for providing quality Christian education that seeks to develop young people of character. Since its foundation over one hundred years ago, the Academy has maintained a high degree of excellence in its scholastic pursuits as is evidenced by the success of its graduates.
